Kansas City, Mo.---Four members of the 2008-09 University of the Rio Grande RedStorm men’s basketball squad have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, released Wednesday afternoon.

RedStorm baseball adds Waverly’s Robertson
Rio Grande---The University of Rio Grande RedStorm baseball program has added one of the top pitchers in the southeastern part of the state. He’s also not a bad hitter. He is Ryan Robertson of Waverly High School. Robertson has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Rio Grande beginning in the 2009-10 season.

Crowe signs with Rio Grande
Rio Grande---The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women’s track and field program continued what has been a very productive recruiting season with the signing of thrower Lindsey Crowe of Wilmington High School. Crowe signed a national letter of intent to begin competing at Rio Grande in the 2009-10 season.

Rio Grande---The University of Rio Grande RedStorm men’s cross country and track teams received a boost with the signing of Chris Aldea of Central Crossing High School to a national letter of intent. He will begin running for the RedStorm in the fall.

Rio Grande is pleased to add sprinter Hayley McSurley of Jonathan Alder High School to the fold. She recently signed her national letter of intent to run track at the University of Rio Grande beginning in the 2009-10 season.

Rio Grande---The University of Rio Grande has added two-sport standout Kimberly Strunk, of Milford High School, to the athletic program. Strunk has signed a letter of intent to play basketball and compete in track for the RedStorm beginning in the 2009-10 season.

Rio 300 Club tickets available
Rio Grande---The University of Rio Grande men’s and women’s basketball programs are gearing up for the annual 300 Club Golf Outing and Raffle. Tickets are now available for the event. The Golf Outing will be held Saturday, August 1 at the Franklin Valley Golf Course in Jackson, OH with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. The dinner/raffle will be Saturday, August 22 inside the Newt Oliver Arena. The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with the drawing to be held at 7 p.m.

Rio Grande---The University of Rio Grande RedStorm men’s basketball program continued a very busy off-season stockpiling talent for the future jump into the Mid-South Conference. The most recent addition is Marcus Bennett of Linden McKinley High School. He recently signed his national letter of intent to play basketball for the University of Rio Grande beginning in the 2009-10 campaign.
